To our valued Customer we have started growing a minimum amount of  some our micro greens.  

Organic Microgreens.

Why microgreens are good for you?

 Health benefits.

Studies suggest that microgreens may contain high concentrations of nutrients compared with mature vegetables and herbs. Due to their high antioxidant content, microgreens are considered a functional food, a food that promotes health or prevents disease.

Microgreens Pack Nutritional Punch. Researchers evaluated levels of four groups of vital nutrients, including vitamin K, vitamin C, vitamin E, lutein, and beta-carotene.  As we learn more about micro greens we will pass this information on to you.

Shelf life:

Will vary depending on the variety, but most microgreens will last at  if they are refrigerated properly at the right temperature. Most of our varieties can last up to two weeks when properly stored in an air tight container.

How do you store microgreens?

Keep micro greens refrigerated  in an air tight container.  They can last in the in the refrigerator up to two weeks. Keep micro greens covered until they are ready to be eaten.   Insuring  that they don’t wilt, dry out or go watery before eating.

What is the difference between microgreens and sprouts.

Microgreens are grown in soil and sprouts are in water.  We do not grow sprouts even though some people refer to micro greens as sprouts. Micro greens that are grown in a 2 week cycle or longer depending on which micro greens we are growing. Did you know micro greens have more nutrition that your plants grown outside?

At Kinsella’s  Simply Organics what we don’t do with our Microgreens.

We do not add anything to our microgreens but you can such as edible flowers, mustard greens or salad greens.

Our Microgreens can also be sold separate 1 kind or as 3 kinds  in a larger clamshell. You can pick from micro greens that are grown that week.  Our main micro green that are grown weekly are sunflower and pea. 


If you are a Juicer or make soup. We offer frozen micro green cubes 2 per pack or 4 per pack. Even though they are frozen they still maintain all there nutrients because there is no further processing done. We take the mess of grinding out for you. Once you open use what you need need to put the rest of the cubes in an air tight container to keep their frozen freshness.
